Further to the audit of Northern Constabulary's complaint analysis and recording published in October 2009, the PCCS has now carried out a follow up audit to assess progress in implementing the recommendations.

Of the seven recommendations made, five have been discharged. Of the two remaining recommendations, one was partially completed and one was yet to be implemented. Northern Constabulary is now taking steps to discharge both remaining recommendations.

The Commissioer is content that progress has been, and is continuing to be, made.
