The complainer requested that the PCCS review three complaints about officers of Lothian and Borders Police. His complaints were that an officer was aggressive and disrespectful towards him, that he was charged with an offence without adequate enquiry and that a letter sent to him by the Deputy Chief Constable was not accurate.
In relation to the first complaint, it was recommended that the force explore the option of taking a statement from the complainer’s wife. The second complaint was not upheld and as the third complaint related to a senior officer of the force, the complainer was advised to write to Lothian and Borders Joint Police Board should he wish to pursue the matter further.
