The complainer requested that the PCCS review four complaints which he had about Strathclyde Police. These complaints related to an incident in a local public house which resulted in the arrest and detention of the complainers and his relative.
The PCCS did not uphold the first three complaints about the police as it found that these had been investigated. The remaining complaint did not form part of the complaint handling review as it had not yet been referred to the force for consideration, therefore it was not within the remit of the PCCS to consider
