The complainer requested that the PCCS review three complaints about Fife Constabulary that originated from an altercation with his ex-partners relative in his local town.

The first complaint was not upheld and it was noted that the force had offered the complainer an apology. In a further complaint the Commissioner noted that contradictory information had been supplied to the complainer's solicitor and the complaint had not been clearly recorded. As such the PCCS recommended that the force provide a full response to the complainer. From the information provided to the PCCS there was nothing to suggest that the complainer raised the final complaint as a complaint about the police with Fife Constabulary. As such the Commissioner recommended that the complainer raise the complaint with the force in the first instance.
