The complainer requested that the PCCS review the handling of five complaints about Fife Constabulary. His complaints originated from the police investigation into the handling of his mother's finances and her care by the social work department.

The PCCS was satisfied that although the force experienced initial problems in dealing with the complaint about Social Work, an enquiry report was completed and the outcome was communicated clearly to the complainer. The PCCS noted that the force appeared to have difficulty establishing the complainer's complaints about the police. However, the force had gone on to investigate the matter and communicated a satisfactory outcome to the complainer. The PCCS did not uphold any of the complaints.
