The complainer requested that the PCCS review two complaints about Grampian Police. The complaints were that she was issued with a Formal Adult Warning and that an employee of the force abused his position, resulting in her being victimised by the force.

It was noted that, whilst these complaints were being reviewed by the PCCS, the force had rescinded the Formal Adult Warning and apologised for the errors that led to it being issued. As such, no further action was required from the force regarding the first complaint. In relation to the second complaint, the PCCS concluded that the force had given the complainer a reasonable explanation based on its investigation and the complaint was therefore not upheld. However, it was commented that the force should satisfy itself that its complaint handling Standard Operating Procedure is being consistently followed.
