The complainer asked that the PCCS review five complaints relating to events surrounding her arrest and time in police custody in July 2007. Five main areas of complaint were raised by the complainer.
The review determined that a full and thorough investigation had taken place with regard to two of the complaints and that the final responses provided by the force were satisfactory. As a result these complaints were not upheld. A further complaint was also not upheld as the information provided by the complainer and Grampian Police neither supported nor contradicted the view of either party.
It was recommended that Grampian Police respond to the complainer in relation to two complaints and it was also recommended that one of these should be recorded as a complaint about the police.
